let's talk about shooting under low light conditions

...shall we?

Ok I'll go first - so how in the heck do the Alakijas, Dr A.Ws,  Mista Skees, SubySinems, etc, of this world, consistently, successfully pull stunts like that?!  No, I mean aside from being baaaaadazzz photographers :) ...

Well folks I recently found that the flash is really a crutch and so shooting without it under terribly low lighting conditions can be a witch, I'll tell you that; and more so especially when you don't have all the correct toys.

Give me the light/sun anyday anytime T ... The highest my ISO would go is 1600 and when I cranked it up to 1600 the image was sooo grainy, I dropped it to 800 for this one and had to hold my hand tres steady at that shutter speed. I could not really zoom in as much as I wanted  because my lens changes aperture as it zooms....and a host of other technical hitches.

However through this exp, I learned that when you do get a good shot under such conditions, it really feels so rewarding. Nonetheless I had such an iffy  time achieving utopia here and of the whole pile of how many shots (if I tell you I might have to kill you...:)) -  this was the only half decent photo I could get.

Imagine the number of times I half pulled my hair out because we were not allowed to use flash in this joint! Imagine it and do the math -  nagh I'll step right out of my current jolly mood and be nice -  save you the trouble - the WHOLE freakin time that's what :)) !
